Domestic Violence Victim Support Groups

Developed in 2010 to assist those who were physically unable toaccess any local groups to be able to get the services and intervention that they needed. These Groups are for Women Only. Soft Echoes Conducts several webcasted support groups to help survivors cope with the confusion, anger and fear often experienced after episodes of assault and domestic violence. These groups enable survivors to share their experiences, feelings and provide them with support to overcome their fears and feelings of isolation. There is a registration process where a Domestic Violence Advocate will contact the registrant to verify the information provided. This prevents any unauthorized access into our secure systems. Certified Facilitators leading each group are vetted and supervised by Didaktiks Educational Systems (a court appointed provider).

Corona Virus Survivor Support Groups

The First and only WebCasted Corona Virus Survivor Support Groups. These Groups, and enrollment in them, are absolutely free. These Groups are for everyone. Certified Facilitators (also COVID-19 Survivors) leading each group are vetted and supervised by COP-i (a certified counseling provider). You can learn new ways of coping with fears. You can also offer your own expertise to other patients who are going through active treatment and help them in their journey. By normalizing the experience of recovery and increasing the survivor’s self-efficacy through education and resource sharing, support groups have the potential to strengthen the survivor’s coping, as well as reduce isolation. There is a registration process where a team member will verify the registrants information provided. This prevents any unauthorized access into our secure systems.

Cancer Survivor WebCasted Groups

Cancer Survivor Support Groups

Support groups, whether in your community or online, provide a great place to share your feelings and hear from others who are going through what you're experiencing. You can learn new ways of coping with fears. You can also offer your own expertise to other patients who are going through active treatment and help them in their journey. These Groups are for everyone. This group provides a supportive environment for patients, their families, and friends to discuss emotional and physical aspects of any type of cancer diagnosis. Expressing feelings and experiences and supporting one another is what these groups are all about. This group is free and meetings are co-facilitated by cancer care coordinator vetted and supervised by COP-i (a certified counseling provider). Volunteer Facilitators Needed

The Worlwide Pandemic has caused a demand for qualified facilitators. Support group facilitators work from home in locations throughout the world to support, educate and advocate for survivors of domestic abuse, cancer and co-vid 19 coronavirus. Our Private Webcasted Groups allow members to learn from each other and share in each other’s journey towards healing.

Requirements For Therapist Facilitators:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in psychology, social welfare or a related field.
  • Certified, or able to become certified as a survivor therapist.

For Volunteer non-therapist group leaders:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to demonstrate cultural competency.
  • Ability to demonstrate active listening skills.
  • Understanding of the Soft Echoes’ mission and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients in all circumstances.

Therapist and non-therapist facilitators lead weekly support groups, multiple times a week. Webcasted Groups are held mornings, afternoons and evenings. These groups enable survivors to share their experiences, feelings and provide them with support to overcome their fears and feelings of isolation. Facilitators will conduct several support groups to help survivors cope with the confusion, anger and fear often experienced after episodes of tramatic events. Applications are welcome from applicants with a Clinical or non-Clinical background.
